Overview >

Package Library

The Package Library provides pre-built packages for use with PDQ Deploy.  These Packages include a default set of configuration options and the necessary install files. These packages not only reduce your need to build the same packages of common applications they are also great references on how to build your own packages in PDQ Deploy.

Simply select one or more packages and click the Import Selected button to add the packages to your local database and download its install files (if applicable). When new versions of these applications are released they will be tested and then made available in the Package Library.

**Always test new packages in your environment before you deploy them en masse**

If you are running PDQ Deploy in Enterprise mode then you can configure PDQ Deploy to automatically deploy new versions via the auto deployment feature.

If there is a package you'd like to see in the library, please let us know.

Download Location

Install files will be downloaded to the Repository, which is stored in the All Users document directory by default (%AllUsersProfile%\Documents on Windows 2003, %PUBLIC% on newer versions of Windows).  This directory can be moved at any point and future install files will download to the new location. (If you move your Repository to a different location the existing install files will need to be moved to the new location)

Different packages are available for different subscription levels.  Most packages require Pro Mode (see below). Access to Pro or Enterprise mode packages require current (active) subscriptions.
