Group Filters and Value Filters

Group Filters contain a set of Value Filters and a group rule setting that determines how those filters are considered together. Group filters can also be nested to create complex rules that allow filtering for ever-increasing levels of specificity and granularity when defining collections or reports.

For a demonstration of filters, see the following video series:

The following table shows the Group Filter rule options.

Rule

Description

All

Items will only be included if all filters in the group (including any/all nested groups) are true. This is similar to using the AND operator in SQL.

Any

Items will only be included if any one (or more) of the filters in the group are true (including any nested groups). This is similar to using the OR operator in SQL.

Not All

Items will only be included if any one (or more) of the filters in the group are false (includes any nested groups).

Not Any

Items will only be included if all filters in the group (including any/all nested groups) are false.

Value Filters allow you to select the category and attributes of data to filter and how that data is compared against the value criteria you set. Value Filters are organized inside one or more group filters.
