Logging Preferences Page

The Logging settings designate which events PDQ Inventory logs to the Windows Application Event log (eventvwr).

To access the Logging settings, click Options > Preferences (or press Ctrl+Comma) and select Logging in the Preferences window.

Options

Description

Send anonymous exception data to PDQ.com

Allows you to opt-in or opt-out of sending anonymized data to PDQ.com to improve the products.

IMPORTANT: PDQ.com collects this data to review trends and fix bugs and hopefully fix bugs before they ever reach you. Be assured that the only time PDQ.com receives specific diagnostic details is when you use the Submit a Support Ticket window to create a support

Application Event Log

 

 

Error

Logs events that indicate a significant problem the system administrator should act upon; usually a loss of functionality or data. This is enabled by default.

Warning

Logs events that indicate a potential problem. This is enabled by default.

Informational

Logs events that indicate a significant, successful operation. This is enabled by default.

Debug

Logs events that are used for troubleshooting.

IMPORTANT: Debug events should be enabled only as directed by PDQ Support.
