License Window

The License settings allow you to manage your PDQ Inventory license. For more information on PDQ Inventory licensing, see Licensing. You can also view information about PDQ licensing in the following video.

To access the License settings, click Help > License.

Options

Get a free Trial License for Enterprise Mode from our website

Connects you to the PDQ website where you can complete a form to request a PDQ Inventory Enterprise Mode Trial, or click Help > Try PDQ Inventory Enterprise.

Use Free Mode

Provides unlimited use of a subset of PDQ Inventory features. No license or subscription is required.

PDQ Inventory Free Mode is 100% free to use in any setting (commercial, government, or education). There is no time limit, nor is there a limit to the number of computers that can be scanned and managed.

Use License (Enterprise)

Use this option if you have a valid Enterprise license key.

A current Enterprise license for PDQ Inventory provides access to additional product features, customizations, as well as product support and upgrades. For a detailed, up-to-date feature comparison of PDQ Inventory modes, see the PDQ Inventory Comparison table on our web site at https://www.pdq.com/pdq-inventory/.

To upgrade PDQ Inventory to Enterprise, you must purchase a license key. You can purchase a license key by clicking Help > Buy Enterprise License or by visiting our website at https://sales.pdq.com.

NOTE: If you already have a license for Enterprise mode, the License window displays the option to Renew Subscription. Click this option to renew your PDQ Inventory subscription.

After you purchase your license, you can copy and paste your license key from the license email or you can browse to and select your license key file. Be sure to include “--- START LICENSE ---” and   “--- END LICENSE ---” when copying the key.

Mode

The mode the console is in, either Free or Enterprise.

Billing Contact

The billing contact listed on your account.

Technical Contact

The technical contact listed on your account.

Quantity

The quantity of System Administrators that are currently licensed. PDQ Deploy Enterprise licenses are based on the number of system administrator users of the software, not the number of computers managed. You need one license for each administrator using PDQ Deploy.

While using Central Server, this number also determines the number of Concurrent Sessions allowed with this license.

Subscription Expires

 

Enter a New License

Allows you to upgrade, update, or modify the license key for your local installation of PDQ Inventory.

You can copy and paste your license key from the license email or you can browse to and select your license key file. Be sure to include “--- START LICENSE ---” and “--- END LICENSE ---” when copying the key.

NOTE: When using Central Server, entering a new license on one console updates all licenses for consoles sharing the same database.

Renew Subscription

This link only appears while in Enterprise mode. This will connect you to our website where you can log into your account to renew or extend your subscription.

Purchase License

This link only appears while in Free mode. This link will connect you to our website where you can purchase licenses.

Update Account Info

This link directs you to https://sales.pdq.com/ where you can sign in and update your account information.
