To uninstall an application from within PDQ Inventory:
1.Select the applications from the Application window.
2.Right-click and select Uninstall.
This opens the Run Command Window with the uninstall command entered and ready to run. You can also copy the command and execute it in another way, for example using PDQ Deploy. |
3.(Optional) Click Save Tool, to name and create a tool for future use.
4.Click Execute to run the command.
To create an uninstall package in PDQ Deploy:
1.Select the applications from the Application window.
2.Right-click and select Create Uninstall Package in PDQ Deploy.
This launches PDQ Deploy to a new package window with the uninstall command entered |
3.Configure the remainder of the package to your needs and deploy to uninstall.
Note: Many uninstall commands are not made to run silently and will hang if run, as is. If the command contains /qn as part of the MsiExec.exe /qn /X uninstall string, then PDQ Inventory has configured it to run silently. Otherwise you may need to consult the application documentation to find the proper silent options.
