Disk Drives Page

The page of the Computer window that displays physical disk drives and their partitions information from the Disks scanner, which is included in the prebuilt scan profile; Standard.

NOTE: Mapped network drives will not appear as they are not considered local disks and are generally set per user and not per computer.

To show, hide, and move columns, click the Customize this grid button (upper left corner) or right-click the column header and select Edit Columns.

Column

Description

Drive ID

The system identifier for the drive.

Size

The size of the drive.

Manufacturer

The manufacturer of the drive, if available.

Model

The model number of the drive.

Description

Description of the drive (usually provided by the manufacturer).

Physical Disk Type

The type of drive; either HDD or SSD.

NOTE: Windows 8.1 or higher or Server 2012 R2 or higher is required. Unsupported operation systems will display 'Not Available'. If the disk type can not be identified, such as virtual machines, this will display 'Unspecified'.

Interface

The type of disk interface (for example, SCSI, EIDE, or SATA).

Media

They type of disk media.

Serial Number

The serial number of the drive.

Firmware Revision

The firmware version of the drive.

SMART Status

The SMART status of the drive.

Partitions

Shows the partitions on the disk selected in the list above.

Column

Description

Disk ID

The drive letter assigned to the volume.

Size

The size of the partition volume.

Free Space

The size of the free space on the volume.

% Free

The percentage of free space on the volume.

File System

The file system used to format the drive.

Local

Whether the disk is local or on a remote computer.

Serial Number

The serial number of the drive.

BitLocker Protection

The protection status of BitLocker Drive Encryption. (Enterprise mode required.)

BitLocker % Encrypted

The percentage of encryption for BitLocker (hidden by default). (Enterprise mode required.)

BitLocker Auto Unlock

Whether or not automatic unlock has been enabled for BitLocker (hidden by default). (Enterprise mode required.)

BitLocker Conversion Status

The conversion status of BitLocker (hidden by default). (Enterprise mode required.)

BitLocker Encryption

The method of encryption of BitLocker (hidden by default). (Enterprise mode required.)

BitLocker ID Field

The field of identification of BitLocker (hidden by default). (Enterprise mode required.)

BitLocker is Locked

Whether or not BitLocker is locked or unlocked (hidden by default). (Enterprise mode required.)

BitLocker Key Protectors

The key protectors of BitLocker (hidden by default). (Enterprise mode required.)

BitLocker Version

The version of BitLocker (hidden by default). (Enterprise mode required.)
