Scanning

PDQ Inventory scans Computers for their inventory and places the inventory database in a local database.  This scan is performed by copying a small program to the target computer, executing that program, and then reading its output. See the Requirements for what is needed in order to successfully run scans.

Each of these pieces of information can be viewed using the Computer Window or in a Report and most of them are available for use as filters for Collections.

Starting Scans

Scans can be started automatically on a schedule (requires Pro Mode) or manually either from the Main Window or the Computer Window.

Scan Profiles

Different Scan Profiles can be created to scan for different information on different schedules (requires Pro Mode).
