PDQ Deploy Free Mode is 100% free to use in any setting (commercial, government, or education). There is no time limit, nor is there a limit to the number of computers that can be managed.

For a detailed, up-to-date feature comparison of PDQ Deploy modes, see the PDQ Deploy Comparison table on our website at https://www.pdq.com/pdq-deploy/compare.

Use License (Pro or Enterprise)

Use this option if you have a valid Pro or Enterprise license key.

A current Pro or Enterprise license for PDQ Deploy provides access to additional product features and packages in the Package Library as well as product support and upgrades. For a detailed, up-to-date feature comparison of PDQ Deploy modes, see the PDQ Deploy Comparison table on our website at https://www.pdq.com/pdq-deploy/compare.

To upgrade PDQ Deploy to Pro or Enterprise modes, you must purchase a license key. You can purchase a license key by clicking Help > Buy Pro/Enterprise License or by visiting our website at https://sales.pdq.com.

NOTE: If you already have a license for Pro or Enterprise mode, Preferences displays the option to Renew Subscription. Click this option to renew your PDQ Deploy subscription.

After you purchase your license, you can copy and paste your license key from the license email or you can browse to and select your license key file. Be sure to include “--- START LICENSE ---” and   “--- END LICENSE ---” when copying the key.

Enter a New License

Allows you to upgrade, update, or modify the license key for your local installation of PDQ Deploy.

You can copy and paste your license key from the license email or you can browse to and select your license key file. Be sure to include “--- START LICENSE ---” and “--- END LICENSE ---” when copying the key.

Enterprise Activation

This option appears only when an Enterprise license key has been provided, but the Enterprise account has not been activated. Click this option to activate the Enterprise license on the local machine by entering a registered email address.

To enable certain Enterprise mode features you must first enter a valid user by providing an email address. Email addresses used for activation must be entered into the Customer page (login at https://sales.pdq.comCustomerLogon) by your organization's on-site Technical Contact for the license. (The technical contact email is visible in the License window.)

Every Enterprise license must be associated with a different email address. For example, if you have ten Enterprise licenses, you will get one license key that can have 10 users activated. Those activations must be associated with ten different email addresses on your Customer page. Each console user must enter one of the ten registered email addresses to activate their local Enterprise license and unlock the extra Enterprise mode features.

IMPORTANT: Enterprise Activation is required for Sharing, however, Sharing has been superseded by the new Central Server feature and will be removed in a future version.

For a demonstration on how to activate your Enterprise license, see the following video.

Manual activation is required for administrator consoles that do not have access to the Internet, or have troubles activating online.
