Requirements

Running the PDQ Inventory software requires the following:

PDQ Inventory Computer (where the software is installed)

•Microsoft Windows

oWindows 7

oWindows Vista

oWindows Server 2008

oWindows Server 2003

oWindows XP Pro SP 3

•Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 SP 1 or later.

•Minimum of 2 GB RAM and 5 GB Disk (more depending on how many Computers and Collections are in the database).

•DNSClient service running (required for Windows remote communications).

Scanned Computers

•Microsoft Windows

oWindows 7

oWindows Vista

oWindows Server 2008

oWindows Server 2003

oWindows XP Pro SP 3

•Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 SP 1 or later.
This can optionally be installed automatically if needed.

•1 GB RAM and 20 MB Disk (more depending on how many Computers and Collections are in the database).

Network Connectivity/Firewall

•File and Printer Sharing
At a minimum must have read/write access to the ADMIN$ share and the service manager.

•Firewall exception for File and Printer Sharing

•Administrative account
Account can be either an Active Directory domain account or local to the computer being scanned.
