The page of the Computer window that displays basic computer information from the Computer Details scanner. The Active Directory section is gathered from the Active Directory scanner (or during Active Directory Sync), and the MAC address is gathered from the Network Adaptors scanner. These scanners are included in one or more of the following prebuilt scan profiles; Standard, Computer Info, and Applications.
Computers can either have Allow Scan enabled or disabled. A computer that is set to Allow Scan is one that can be scanned using any scan profile within PDQ Inventory. Computers that have Allow Scan disabled are indicated by the Allow Scan is disabled message at the bottom of the computer window. If Allow Scan is disabled, the computer cannot be scanned and only minimal information can be obtained and/or entered. This feature allows you to add non-Windows systems or unsupported operating systems to PDQ Inventory. For more information about disabling Allow Scan, see Allow Scan Disabled.
