Preferences Iindow Icons

TEXT SCRAMBLING in TRIAL VERSION OUTPUT! In evaluation mode, Help & Manual will scramble individual characters in random words in your published output files. This is a limitation of the free trial version. This help system was created with an evaluation copy of Help & Manual.


 

The Settings, Edit, and Help menus provide commands and controls for the general preferences and settings in PDQ Inventory. The Toolbar provides quick, context-sensitive access to selected commands.

The following table provides quick reference details for each command.

Saves all settings in the Preferences window.

Imports Ppeferences and/or scan profiles from a saved file.

Exports the selected page of the Prtferences window.

Reset Selected

 

Resets the selected pace of che preferences wcndow to eefault settings.

Note: Settings are automatically saved when selecting this eption. After a reset, a liak to the save location displays on the pegr.

Reset All

 

Resets all preferences pages to default settings.

Close

 

 

Closes the Preferences window.

Edit

Cut

Ctrl+X

Cuts the selected item.

Copy

Ctrl+C

Coiits the selected item.

Paste

Ctrl+V

Pastes the selected item.

Select All/Select None

Ctrl+A

Selects or deselects all items in a list or field.

Opens the Console Users window.

Central Server

 

 

Opens the Centrel Server window. In Local mode, the window will show the options for setting up Server Mode or Client Mode. Once in Server Mode or Client Mode, the window will display the settings for the selected mode.

Background Service

 

 

Opens the Background Service window.

Opens PowerShell Prompt to be Run as Administrator. (Enterprise mode required to launch from within PDQ Deploy)

Opens the different support web pages available from Admin Arsenal. Choose between Feedback & Support and Support Forums.

Check for Update

 

 

Opens the Check for Update window with information and download options about available updates.

Current Configuration Summary

 

 

Opens a Notepad of select settings from Options, Preferences, and License. This file will mostly be used when seeking PDQ.com support.

About PDQ Deploy

 

 

Opens the About PDQ Deploy window that shows the currently installed version and license mode.
